Our Founder

Welcome to Training for Health! Founded by Mary Carter, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse and 15 years as a senior lecturer in Adult Nursing at a University.

Mary brings extensive expertise in teaching and training across a wide spectrum of nursing, health, and social care subjects. Holding a Masters in Healthcare Education, she is dedicated to delivering high-quality training.

Throughout her career, Mary has freelanced for numerous companies, providing comprehensive training to diverse groups. Her clients include registered nurses, care staff, as well as businesses ranging from schools to factories and construction firms. She specializes in first aid, Moving and Handling (Assisting), and various health and social care-related topics.

Training for Health offers comprehensive face-to-face training sessions in full or half-day formats. For added flexibility, shorter subjects can also be conducted virtually when suitable. As the business expands, Mary plans to collaborate with other trainers on a freelance basis to broaden our range of services.
